SpiceJet flight from Bagdogra airport returns due to technical issue, alternate flight arranged – World News Network

New Delhi [India], July 30 (ANI): A SpiceJet flight bound for Delhi with 160 passengers and crew members made a precautionary landing at the Bagdogra airport on Tuesday morning.
According to sources at the airport, the pilot of SpiceJet flight SG8199 made a precautionary landing and returned to Bagdogra airport with in fifteen minutes of flying. The pilot detected dome technical issue in the flight and ATC was informed about it. Pilot made a safe precautionary landing and all passengers were disembarked for safety reasons.
The flight was scheduled to take off at 8.10 am and reach Delhi by 10.15 am.
Responding to the situation, SpiceJet Spokesperson informed that on July 30, 2024, a SpiceJet Boeing 737 aircraft operating flight from Bagdogra to Delhi experienced a technical issue and returned to Bagdogra.
The aircraft landed safely and normally at Bagdogra airport, the Spokesperson said adding that there was no emergency landing.
“We have arranged an alternate aircraft for the passengers,” said the Spokesperson.
Officials at the airport informed that the aircraft that returned due to technical fault will only be allowed to fly again after compete safety check by DGCA and other concerned bodies.
Earlier in June, passengers travelling from Delhi to Goa on a SpiceJet flight faced a harrowing experience at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport on Saturday after the flight was delayed for several hours.
The Delhi-Goa flight SG-211 was delayed due to operational reasons, as the aircraft scheduled to operate the flight had to be grounded following a technical issue, the airline said.
Passengers complained that SpiceJet flight SG-211, initially scheduled to depart at 9.35 am from Delhi, faced multiple rescheduling. The departure time was first changed to 10.35 am, then to 11 am, and eventually, the flight did not take off even at 11 am.
When passengers raised concerns with the airline staff, they were informed that the flight would now depart at 4 pm. (ANI)
