New Delhi [India], September 7 (ANI): Union Minister Sanjay Seth on Sunday took part in the ‘Fit India: Sundays on Cycle’ event in the national capital, with the theme of ‘Garv se Swadeshi’ and said that cycling is one of the best forms of exercise, adding that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always encouraged people to stay healthy through yoga.
Speaking to ANI, Sanjay Seth said, “Prime Minister Modi always says, Do yoga and stay healthy. There is no better exercise than cycling. There are many benefits of cycling.PM Modi spoke about Swadeshi from the ramparts of the Red Fort, and everyone is actively participating in this campaign.”
BJP MP Naveen Jindal said he was glad to join the weekly cycling initiative, calling it a fun activity that also helps people stay fit and healthy.

“This Sunday marks a notable initiative where people gather on Sundays to ride bicycles. Cycling is a lot of fun anyway, and it is also a great way to improve your fitness. That is why I am happy that I could participate in this program today,” Jindal said.
Meanwhile, last Sunday, the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium hosted a special National Sports Day 2025 edition of Fit India Sundays on Cycle, featuring National Sports Federations, with Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Mansukh Mandaviya, leading the celebrations.
The event was part of the concluding day of the three-day pan-India celebration of sports, honouring hockey wizard Major Dhyan Chand on his 120th birth anniversary, as per a release from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, a release said.
Mandaviya flagged off the cycling rally, calling it a “movement that connects Indians to their soil, promotes sustainability and embodies the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat”. (ANI)
